Just heard from a source that Creel will not be doing any of his remaining performances in Hello, Dolly. His understudy will be doing all remaining performances until Santino Fontana joins the company.

I'm disappointed myself as I specifically bought my tickets to see Creel this week. I've heard good things about the understudy but am nevertheless disappointed. Has anyone seen his u/s, and is he any good? Will update after I see the show.

I saw the understudy on Sunday and thought he was great. His performance obviously doesn’t top Creel’s, but he was still wonderful.

Thank you littleshopofcarrie! I'm not sure who has been going on in his place but did you see Christian Dante White or Ian Liberto?

I heard from a friend Ian is very good, but I am still unsure who is going on for Creel ATM.

I was under the impression that was just an estimated time frame for his return, and there was no exact date for his return yet. I could be wrong.

I saw the show last Friday and Christian Dante White was on and loved his performance! I personally thought he portrayed the role of Cornelius better than Gavin (though I still love Gavin.)
I hope Gavin gets better soon and I do hope he comes back.

I had assumed Kate and Gavin both extended six months to align with Bernadette’s departure, but I read somewhere they are actually both due to leave in May. Is this true? If it is, if gavin is still injured, will he not be able to finish out his run past may?

And I remember this musical I remember their brilliance And I might never sleep again...

A while back, Kate tweeted that she was in the show until July 16 (15?). Since then, it's been deleted, which leads me to believe that it was true.

I would have to imagine that Christian Dante White and Ian Liberto are alternating in the role. Curious how many swings are in the production now, too? The show's website, ibdb.com & PlaybillVault only list three swings(2 female/1 male). This would require the one male swing to constantly be on.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour will be starting up in Somerville, NJ on January 20, 2018. The tour continues through Sarasota, FL(Apr 24-25); Panama City, FL(Apr 27); Jacksonville, FL(Apr 28); Kansas City, MO(May 29-Jun 3); then touring throughout Asia in June - August.

I'm not sure if Ian Liberto went on as Cornelius during Gavin's recent absence. Since Ian is a swing, he's much more valuable in that capacity.

My Playbill from 2/24 has Ian still listed as a swing. I noticed there was a name on the cast board in the lobby (can't remember) that did not appear in my Playbill.

I confirmed with my source that Gavin will be leaving in July. I assume Kate will be leaving at the same time.

I wonder if Santino Fontana will replace after Creel departs. Seems like that would be the most likely option.

Additionally, I heard that Christian will be on as Cornelius tonight. I'll update on his performance after seeing it.

Santino has the tootsie the musical out of town tryout this fall, so I don’t think he’ll be replacing Creel in July.

You will love Christian Dante White in the part. Personally, I thought he was better then Gavin Creel - who I also thought was wonderful , but Christian was even better. I don't see why the producers did not offer him the role instead of bringing Mr. Fontana in.

That could have been a stage manager. As fellow AEA members, they are listed on the lobby board. Sometimes it’s a separate section of the board, other times they’re listed in with the rest of the AEA company.

If it were a new cast member you should have had a program insert for him/her as well.

I saw Christian Dante White last night and he was fantastic. I have also seen Creel in the role and I think you will enjoy White just as much.

I think it’s possible Travis isn’t listed in the playbill as he’s filling in for Michaeljon Slinger who got injured a while back

I saw the matinee yesterday and I thought Christian Dante White was an excellent Cornelius. I would've loved to see Creel but I don't feel like I missed anything.
