I didn't see the original thread, but a friend sent me the video of the commercial (which I assume he got from here). Is it wrong that I think the commercial is kind of amazing?

What?? So weird. I will reiterate my opinion that it was amusing and not nearly as bad as the paint one with Nina Simone's song about colors.

Maybe Patti was upset that it featured furniture instead of broadway actors.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

I actually liked it.  Furniture/interior design IS the art of putting it together.

 

That being said, wouldn't Sondheim have to have given permission?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
