Angels in America rush + lottery reports |
so just to clarify, what are the odds for rushing on saturdays?? definitely want to rush this show and am looking for the most strategic and successful way to do it; whether that be rushing thursday for part 1 and then again on friday for part 2? or just trying to do it all in one day on a saturday or Wednesday? tickets are wicked expensive from ticketmaster...

I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a set amount of rush tickets or if it's just what's not sold?
I want to rush for the last set of shows at the end of June but I'm worried, since it's the last performance, it will be sold out.
I'm also wondering what time one should estimate to get there for a Saturday rush for both parts -- would love to hear reports from anyone who rushed today!
If anyone is planning fo rush for part 2 tomorrow 4/8 and needs a ticket I have an extra lottery ticket that I'm selling!
anyone rushed lately?? I'm planning on trying for both parts on saturday and will report back but wouldn't mind some more recent reports about arrival times locations etc.
If I'm planning on rushing for Thursday Part 1, do I then have to rush again for part 2? Or do they sell them in bulk?
Also, what time does one arrive lately? Thank you!

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but looks like the lottery ticket prices went up? I could've sworn they were $74 for combined at one point. Maybe before it opened. Fingers crossed I'm trying to see tomorrow's marathon.

That's correct. When I rushed on Wednesday I purchased rush tickets to both parts and it was a total of $90 which took me by surprise. I'm obviously very thankful they offer a rush, but they should update that on their site.
Public transportation was NOT in my favor so i got to the rush line at 9:25, around an hour later than I had planned, and the rush ran out somewhere around 5-10 people in front of me. They offered me an orch seat for 99/part - row G seat 7 - and I took it. Double the price I had planned for but I just got a refund for a ticket for a cancelled concert so I went for it and am super excited to see this show! I didn’t catch when the people in the front got in line but by 9:30 there were a solid 30-35 people.
edit: ahh I’m on the wrong account but this is springwillcome -_-
Where have the TDF tickets been mostly? Have they been all over the theatre or mostly front mezz or orchestra?
Any recent weekend rush reports? Or anyone planning to rush this weekend? I'm going to be rushing Saturday, May 12th, and just want to see if the Tony noms make the line up any earlier.
Thanks!
Would love to know what Wednesdays have been like recently.
Several earlier messages made it sound like the probability of getting tickets was quite high, but I'm wondering if that had to do with the season/temperatures (people less likely to queue in front of the theater)? I also don't know if weekdays are different from weekends etc.
I'm visiting from abroad and only travelling through, so clueless about how this all works. Happy to have found this board for the same reason.
I rushed Mean Girls last Wednesday, and kept my eye on the Angels line. There were maybe 5-8 people there by 9am last Wednesday. Didn't seem to get much longer as the hour went on! If you want to guarantee, I'd suggest an 8am arrival on a Wednesday.
I saw part 1 on a Sunday in April and was wondering why part 2 is not in the lottery anymore. I won twice that too, but couldn't make it to NYC (from ~DC) Only Friday is available for part 2 lotto (wasn't it supposed to be bundled?) And Wednesday. Also the price is 45, not 37. What is going on? Thanks!

I believe they're only bundling Saturdays now for $90. Every other performance must be entered separately.
Here's the page for Saturday lotteries: https://lottery.broadwaydirect.com/show/angels-parts-1-and-2/
I thought the price change coincided with opening, but I guess I was wrong!
Hey MNL, the prices have gone up for the lottery (and rush as well, I believe). It ends up being 47 with the handling fee. I am coincidentally selling two Part II tickets for the show tonight at 7 PM for 43 each (got them on TDF), in case you (or anyone else) is interested.
Won the lottery yesterday for Part I, Mezzanine Center Row M, and for me it was way too far back. I couldn't distinguish the facial expressions and it made it difficult for me to really connect to the emotional content. I would bring binoculars for next time I pick up tickets 30 minutes before a show, in case they end up being so far back again. Two other friends won lottery as well--one was in Mezzanine Center Row T, the other up front in great seats in the Orchestra. So you really never know...
