I really hope it is by the way- but invited dress performances are not a good judge of how a show really plays.

Greenify, I won’t be there, but will be eagerly waiting for reports. Please post your thoughts after!

Geez, would you like some bitter apples to go along with those sour grapes!

It’s actually a very good argument... same when movies are being tested with early audiences, the “seeing it before anyone else” factor definitely changes things...
Glimpses of some merch here.

Very curious about how the final dress goes, especially given the article that came out today about Tom Schumacher.

Wow a lot of that merch looks awesome! Not crazy about the positioning of the 2 faces on the T-shirt and wish the hoodie was not white, but that Olaf is definitely coming home with me. Maybe I should leave my credit card at home ??

it was a pretty spotless dress rehearsal. its definitely worthy of many technical tonys. i wish it incorporated more hints of the snow queen. it may be too presumptuous that everyone knows the story, like if you didnt, ending act 1 with let it go would seem kinda random. but its really quite beautiful.

It's selling just fine. This dates are just farther out, but also, HP has been an institution much longer than Frozen hence why I theorize why it's doing better and legit sold out, or at least with maybe one ticket available for each show from now until who knows when. Unlike people who say Frozen is also sold for months on end and ready have been posting about trying to sell off their tickets as they can't go, but I know better, I've been checking Ticketmaster for a while, keeping and eye on tickets for Frozen as I'm not sure when I can see it, and while the first three months are pretty hard to come by at this point, it's by no means "SOLD OUT UNTIL NEXT YEAR, BUY NOW" status. Plus HP is using that online "wait area", Frozen is not, so that should be a clue. But Frozen is fine, it's still selling, and those higher availability months later this year will certainly fill up as times goes by, especially closer to the fall and winter holidays.
Also that merch...I can't say I'm super impressed. It just looks like what I might be able to find or at least find something very similar, in the Disney Store only two blocks away. Maybe It's good thing I didn't get that job, I wouldn't be excited to sell any of that.

Here’s Caissie singing Monster. Even though it’s very pop-sounding and some of the lyrics are not great, I really like it and Caissie’s vocals are killer. The video itself is also fantastic.

I don’t think this will do as bad as TLM or Tarzan, but I could see it doing the same kind of business as Aida.

Some how missed this, she sounds pretty great if not a bit spread and throaty. I love how I recognized Gotham Hall
Jorge-Agreed. Possibly better than Aida, just because it's a name, and well loved one at that which Aida wasn't, but I can't see quite a Lion King or B and the B length run. It'll be a healthy run nonetheless.

Wow that's expensive (for me) but I bet someone will buy those! I'm presuming that's last row of mezz at the St James? If so, then there's definitely a balcony overhang too from that seat. :/

Last row of the Mezz is actually Q. The overhang actually isn't too bad in the mezzanine at the St. James.
Caissie sounds great, and I like the melody but boy are those some awful lyrics.

Got my hopes up with the back-up came in, but what began as a "Ghost" sounding power ballad (not just because of the singer) sort of turned into a flat-footed "No Good Deed," which clearly is the model. It's basically the same concept. If "Let It Be" is "Defying," this is about as "No Good Deed"ish as can be imagined. Disappointing, since it doesn't show another side to the character or this singer. Might've been daring to go in the other direction, to give her something softer and ruminative, not another icy wall shattering pop tune that sounds interchangeable with everything written since, well, "Aida."
