I know it's super early, but apparently Invited Dress is happening today (and there's also lots of questions about the production and the like floating around already). So, here we go!

Previews for the long-awaited stage adaptation of Disney's Frozen—based, of course, on the 2013 film—begin in just a few days (Thursday, February 22, 2018) at the St. James Theatre. Starring Caissie Levy as Elsa, Frozen is set to officially open on Thursday, March 22 for an open run (and boy, does it look like it will be quite a run!).

why is the invited dress so early?

Exactly who cromprises these audiences? Investors? Friends? Members of the broadway community?

^all of the above. The only times I ever got to attend were through an internship I was doing in the theatre community

Heard from a friend that they’re doing two invited dresses—next one is Tuesday or Wednesday.

Even if they did, the general courtesy is to not discuss invited dress rehearsals.

Talked to someone who saw the show and there doesn’t seem to be a castle, just the interior like in Denver.

Maybe you shouldn’t believe everything you read by anonymous sources on a message board.

To my defense, people believed it too.

At least, remove/shorten the sauna number. I have a good feeling that they did no work to improve the show. It's Frozen and everyone will see it, so screw it, right?

Literally they aren't creating a masterpiece. They're creating a cashcow. And that's it. Sure, it could be a 1000000% better, but they don't care.

They hired Michael Grandage to direct (after “parting ways” with far more interesting choices). What exactly did people expect? A creative staging?

This is the same guy who tried a literal staging of Evita.

Why did they even let Timbers go? I thought reports from his labs were generally positive?
