No official dates or theatre, but I’m excited! Is this the same production that has been “touring”??

No dates, no theater, no creative team beyond a director...I'll believe this when I see it. It sounds more to me like they're trying to attract additional investors with this announcement.
I too am in the "believe it when I see it camp," but I really hope it's true! It's one of my favorite scores but I've never been able to see a production of it!
I've never been open to liking this show because when I listened as a kid it bothered me the main theme is the exact same as the theme to Gone with the Wind.
Cautiously optimistic. I'm so attached to this piece, so I'm hoping they don't cut Quartet or Race you to the top of the morning like they've been doing in the recent regional productions, or don't use a full orchestra.
This show has the potential to be incredibly moving and a feast for the eyes, but if done wrong will be a total slog.
*fingers crossed*

I felt the same way about the TV Show "Get Smart" and Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" because they both stole the melody from "Bali Hai". (Nah.... I'm just kiddin'!)
Current Musical productions that are confirmed for Broadway next season are:
New Musicals:
The Cher Show
King Kong
Getting the Band Back Together
The Prom
Head Over Heals
Pretty Woman
Revivals:
Kiss Me Kate
More Likely Then Not Coming to Broadway next season:
Crazy for You
With Crazy for You already going the B-List celebrity route (Don't get me wrong I think both Rachel Dratch and Rachel Bloom with slay audiences)...do we think The Secret Garden is going follow a similar route since this doesn't seem like its a lauded production that's being transferred?
In keeping with the theme of The Secret Garden, President Obama's official White House portrait was revealed today...
I don't know what to think yet. My first reaction is not favorable, as I don't feel it suggests that he is the man of strength, intelligence and character that I see him as. I'm interested to know the significance of a portrait that is predominantly flora in its composition.
I really hope that Daisy Eagan is used as Martha. Also, if there was already a pre-Broadway production going, why start from scratch with a new director? This is very strange.
