Well now we all know why they bounced this movie around for years and changed the name and finally gave it to Netflix. What an absolute waste of time. I really loved the first one and was pretty meh on the second one.

This feels like it did basically nothing to connect to the Cloverfield universe besides basically the ending when the big monster appears. It really seems like with the 2nd and 3rd movies they want to do a completely different genre of movie and then tie it at the end with a few monsters and go Cloverfield!
The 4th one is supposd to come out in October in theaters. Hopefully it's better than this cause it can't possibly be much worse.

A huge amount of the event that happened in this movie are just because of well its the multiverse. The worms, the hand, basically every bad thing that happened on the ship is because well its the multiverse. It's lazy writing and it explains nothing.
I think there was an interesting concept here, but they just failed in the writing department like said above. Like that hand thing was just stupid! Like do all hands that get cut up on that earth also have it’s own mind, or was it just that particular hand??? Lmao.
I find it odd Netflix released this, when neither of the other films are on their service....

I have to admit I had a good time watching it but I did find while reading about the reactions to the film afterwards that it doesn't hold up to much scrutiny. I thought it was fun and handsome-looking. I liked all the actors involved even if it did seem like some of them were acting in different genred films. But, agreed that there isn't much to it and a lot of different plot threads are left hanging (some entirely frayed). It felt like a decent episode of Black Mirror.
I really liked Cloverfield and absolutely LOVED 10 Cloverfield Lane. I thought Paradox was enjoyable. It wasn’t as horrible as I was expecting, but it definitely wasn’t as good as the other two. I feel like there was a really good idea at the center of it, but it wasn’t executed as well as it could have been.
