to audition with only a day or two before the audition to prepare?

I'm likely going to audition for this play regardless (I kicked myself because I didn't audition for the last play they held auditions for), but I like to hear people's opinions and I think that it's a somewhat interesting question.

I personally, have gotten to the point where I'm going to try and audition for everything that comes along until I get a part (this is my fourth or fifth audition with this theater, and hopefully it's going to end well). I'm honestly the most mediocre at singing, but I also know I'm definitely not the worst and I have been absolutely enamored with the idea of being in one, so I'm going to continue to work toward it.

It depends....exactly what do you need to prepare?   If you  walk into the audition UNprepared, that will sticik with them a long time, possibly into future auditions.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
