Having trouble determining ballads vs. uptempos?

I felt pretty solid in my ballad and uptempo choices for an audition binder project... but now I'm doubting myself.

Are these songs ballads or uptempos?:

• "When He Sees Me" from Waitress (99.999% sure that this is an uptempo)
• "Fight For Me" from Heathers

I'd say Fight For Me is a ballad, especially when you get to the main part of the song. As for When He Sees Me....I'd go with Uptempo, but it's kind of a neutral tempo. Not too fast, not too slow.
