Mamma Mia 5th Avenue Theatre Seattle |
I'm DEFINITELY going to see the show! I'm planning to see the show a few weeks in. I can't wait!
Just read a review from a subscriber at the 5th. They have been a subscribing there for 25 years, and this production of Mamma Mia will be the first one they go back and see a 2nd time. Also, said they're putting it in their top 3. It's sounding pretty amazing, and the production shots are great.

I saw the show during 3rd preview! It was entirely sold out. Overall, it was a really strong production - Kendra Kassebaum and Paolo Montalban truly shine as Donna and Sam. I was absolutely blown away by Jason Sherwood's set design & the lighting was stunning - I was a little annoyed at how much they seemed to be hyping up the set and lighting, but upon arriving to the theatre, I understood why it was so hyped up. There were a few flubs, but it was overall a really great production. I'm hoping to be able to go back before it closes and see how it changes during the run. I'm not really sure how I feel about the costumes and the more "modern" vibe they were trying to give off -- it didn't seem exactly cohesive... Happy to answer any questions/go into specifics!

This was my fourth time seeing the show live, and I think it was my second favourite, after the first time I saw it internationally? I wish that this production had British accents, but that's a personal preference! I definitely preferred this production to the Farewell Tour, and I think you will too :)
