I can’t believe I just wrote those words. Rest In Peace, Rick McKay. Rick was a wonderful man. Hilarious. Generous. Kind. He was so kind, I can’t even begin to tell you. You couldn’t have asked for a better friend. I don’t think we ever had a phone call that lasted under an hour and a half. He taught me so much and I am forever in his debt for letting me work with him and research and find all the “never before seen” footage. He was so excited a few weeks ago when I called him about ANNIE GET YOUR GUN footage I just found from 1946 and we talked about how to possibly incorporate it into the second film because it had to be in there and just on and on for hours about where it could go. He was one of the best people I’ve ever known and I can’t even comprehend this right now. I’m sorry for rambling.

This is absolutely devastating. I can't even begin to describe what Broadway the Golden Age means to me. I'm so sorry for your loss of your friend, Jordan. His work has truly meant so much to me and so many of us. And I we all owe him a huge debt of gratitude for recording and preserving so many treasures of the American theatre.

Jordan, I'm so sorry about your friend's passing. I loved his Golden Age documentary and view it often.  This is absolutely awful news.  My sympathies to all his family and friends.

Not many people do what he did, but his work and effort is so important. His loss will be felt by many.
