BroadwayCon and Playbill.com |
No idea but if I were to guess I’d say playbill didn’t see the ROI - what services would Broadcon attendees use of Playbill to help them recover that cost? All attendees would know about them and use their services. When I have worked for companies that sponsor conferences it is done with the understanding/hope that it is going to lead to more clients or customers.

Producers have to buy the playbills?
And I remember this musical
I remember their brilliance
And I might never sleep again...
People have claimed here they don’t pay for B&W, only colour (and I assume that’s to cover costs rather than make a big profit). I’d assume the vast majority of Playbill’s money is advertising revenue. But I could be wrong.

I don't have an answer, but this isn't the first time they haven't been involved in events. Like they used to be at the flea market and have not in years. Didn't they also stop publishing the year books they used to put out?
