RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 3 |
BTW, I believe it is only in the U.K. that it is airing on Comedy Central. Previously, I think they only got through Netflix.
Always excited for a new season. Just wish they had Ongina on instead of some of the choices they went with. I don't get why Trixie seems to be the front runner- I didn't think she was all that great on her season. She has the funny campy look DOWN, but on her season, the comedy just didn't happen.
^ it's what she has done since. I'm excited to see what they all bring to the show.
Plus, some shots from the first episode were revealed today -

It's not what Trixie did in her season that matters now, it's what she's done afterward. She has gone from a twice-eliminated queen to one of the most recognizable names in drag, and a greater success than many of the actual winners.
Oh, ok. That makes more sense :). I'll admit that I haven't followed her (or many from her season) all that closely since. I was able to catch both Jinkx and Latrice at the Laurie Beechman for their shows, and found them both to be wonderful entertainers in the cabaret setting.
Speaking of past All-Stars winners who have broken big since winning, I just caught Alaska Thunderf*ck in 2 performances in LA this past week-- including guest starring in a local Golden Girlz live show. Alaska never inspired me much on the TV screen, but that queen is a brilliant performer in the flesh-- amazing timing, hysterical stage presence, stunning looking, 100% the consummate performer. Now I'm just a huge fan. Hoping whoever wins All Stars 3 meets the same high bar.

To my biased ears, you just described Kennedy Davenport. I know she won't win, I get that. But she was the best part of Season 7, next only to Katya (rip)
Aja and Thorgy Thor still annoy me but I’m warming up to them a bit.
Sad to see Morgan go. DeLa’s reasoning was a bit contradictory but I can’t blame her for eliminating her. Ben’s performance and lip sync both had me in stitches. Rooting for her, Trixie, and Shangela. I was really impressed with Trixie’s heartfelt and touching performance.
Saw and loved the premiere. Count me in on rooting for Shangela, DeLa, and Trixie for the top 3, maybe either Aja or Kennedy for the fourth spot I don't know. Not torn up about Morgan's elimination though, her attitude rubbed me the wrong way personally.
Would've been crazy/insane if the surprise queen was Willam but this choice is okay too.
DeLa's striptease routine was so good. Such a funny concept and perfectly executed.
I'm on team DeLa! Her shows at the Beecham have been some of my favorite nights out; can't wait to see what she does on the show.
DeLa's burlesque routine was comic gold. But her lip sych was coming GENIUS. The boyfriend (who never watched drag race till we started dating) and I were HOWLING. So, so delicious.
And whatever her reasoning was for getting rid of Morgan, I support it 100%. Morgan's song was vulgar without being funny and the performance of it was unsure and underwhelming. Chi Chi at least twirled! Which I loved!
The return of OfChad and OfJustin at the end of the episode nearly killed me. There's light in the world again!

Agreed. At least Chi Chi put up a very strong effort unlike Morgan whose song and performance wasn't even all that memorable or funny IMO.
I'm fully on the Aja comeback train, and would love to see her make the top 5, with Trixie, Dela, and Shangela as the top three. The lack of attention on Kennedy (despite great performances) reminds me of Ginger on AS2. Bebe is a great addition, and I'm curious to see how far she goes!

Thorgy just comes across as so disengenious.

I have a sinking feeling that either Thorgy Thor or Milk is going to get a "villain edit" the same way Phi Phi O'Hara did in AS2. But at the same time, it's still too early to tell if that's going to happen or not.
And yes, Kennedy is a FABULOUS mess. :)

Honestly I feel like Milk was actively trying to be the least-liked queen during the entire first episode. She's the only queen I'm not a fan of that's there, but she still usually puts out decent looks.
There's a conspiracy theory that BeBe Zahara Benet is a mole :
