Caught this on Sunday night and thought it was entertaining but have mixed feelings about it. Has anyone else been to the show or is planning to go and want to weigh in with thoughts or comments?

Never seen any of Walsh's shows - besides Once - so curious to see this, but on the fence. His "Disco Pigs" got mixed reviews, and didn't seem my thing.

I was there this weekend and I'm not sure what to think about it. The physical production was impressive (especially the set and sound design/music) and the acting was terrific I can't wrap my head around it. I feel like I'm missing something, and yet, I feel like there is no there there. We're thrown into a situation without any exposition, and the ending comes without any explanation.

Still, I liked it more than last season's Arlington.

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

@little_sally yes, that describes it perfectly! It reminds me of Twin Peaks a lot, if you’ve ever seen it.

@RippedMan, I rushed the show on TodayTix so I didn’t feel too guilty about seeing it and not loving it. There were a lot of empty seats too so the ushers dressed the house.

I actually liked this less than Arlington, but I didn’t hate it. I agree with some of the comments above. Walsh definitely likes to make his audience work, but in the end I think I was able to wrap my head around the gist of what happened, if not always WHY things were happening.

I decided to make it a double-Walsh day and see Disco Pigs in the same day as Ballyturk. I enjoyed Ballyturk much more. I really hated Disco Pigs.

I also saw Disco Pigs this weekend and think I liked Ballyturk more. Disco Pigs spent 75 minutes telling us something that could've taken 15. And 90% of it was narration.

Completely agree.
