Springsteen/Ticketmaster Ticket Notice |
I have no experience with this, but it doesn't surprise me. Ticketmaster is the worst.
"Michael Riedel...The Perez Hilton of the New York Theatre scene"
- Craig Hepworth, What's On Stage
You're not kidding Lot666. I was baffled that it reserved two tickets for me when I only wanted one. It also decided the seat location instead of letting me pick what I want. When I clicked on Buy, I thought I'd be taken to the next page to alter the seats from 2 to 1 and perhaps change location. I was floored when it charged my card. I didn't have to click on any "agree to terms/conditions" or acknowledge that I read everything.
I got a refund for both tickets. Upper management claims they weren't aware that it would just charge the card without notice or give the refund policy. It didn't even tell you that it's a take-it-or-leave-it 2 tickets buy. Management said the entry of your cel into that line means you'll always get notice of only two tickets. Management also said they will change the notice and details. They also told me that if you don't have a ticketmaster account or if you don't have a registered credit card, they will not send you a text.
I have often wondered if they deny the lottery ticket wins to those who have bought tickets at full price in the past. Why let a patron win the lottery if they were willing to pay full price in the past. The whole system seems so rigged. And sad that Bruce sings of the middle and low income folks, yet only the financial elite can afford seats. Even the cancel tickets go for $575. My gripe of the day.

What is their motivation to put that much effort into rigging the lottery? Once you say XX number of people can get in to this crazy sold out show for $75, I doubt there is a ton of extra work they're going to put into doling out the cheapest tickets, fairly or unfairly. Plus, the ticketing system and the lottery system are run by different companies, so they constantly coordinate to achieve this?! Seems far-fetched.
Did anyone get a notice from Ticketmaster today? We were supposed to get codes to use tomorrow, when the new block of Springsteen tickets go on sale.
FWIW, I've seen single tickets online the day of performances. When I went last week, two different couples sitting behind me both said they purchased their tickets at the box office that same afternoon.
For anyone interested in going, it's worth looking into.

Same! It is what it is, but still annoying. Oh well.
I just Picked up 2 Tickets for $75 Each for June 8. I got a 10 AM ticket Code. I guess I got lucky. Get Wait for the show.
I'm in the 11 a.m. hour also, and I didn't have luck with that with Harry Potter. But I'm going to try. Sigh!
Ticketmaster seems to be getting slightly better with the Verified Fan technology. The CURSED CHILD sale was a mess, but the recent Taylor Swift process was very quick and painless. Wishing you all luck!

Not having much luck....I hate that you have to look at dates individually - so much wasted time.
I am searching in the 11am block right now and it seems all the $75 seats are gone. I keep getting offered $400 ones but that's too rich for my blood right now.
I'm amazed, but I got lucky and was able to buy $75 seats for a Thursday in June. They are way up in the balcony, Row A. But I'm happy to be going!

Just saw that you were in the 11am. Very lucky!

Got a code around 12:15 pm
searched and searched
Cheapest I could find was 2 for $300 each far side aisle mezz
more than I wanted to spend but I'm very excited!
Got a code but giving up, if anyone sees a single 2 to 3 hundred dollar seat pop up, kindly post that information here or message me...I'd appreciate it
And as soon as I post that: "Due to overwhelming demand, all tickets released as part of today’s onsale have now been sold, and no additional access codes will be issued."
I got standby but finally got a code at around 12:15pm as well. Cheapest ticket I found was the $300 extreme side mezz tickets as well.
