Right, but to me, Lea's tweet read like she surely knew at least some of the details that would have emerged in the rumored article (or may still emerge sometime soon—who knows?). It's just strange how the buzz about this article was so tangible for those few days, and now it's been nearly two months since.

well they can be on a precipice of change even if this article never comes out. True the article would probably force about change or the industry could try and get out ahead of it a bit and make those changes themselves. And I think there have been some smaller articles that have come out about individuals here and there. It’s possible the NYT is still working thier sources.

The paper that published the Steve wynn news said they worked on their story for almost two and a half months before getting it print ready.

Complete and total lie, and I'm ashamed someone who claims to be in the industry is suggesting the article is merely a "rumor." NYT has been working on this for the last couple months and continues to do so. I've seen the list of names mentioned in the article - it's happening.

I never suggested it wasn’t being worked on. But the rumor mill was rampant that weekend — specifically the rumor that the article was to drop in the coming days — which as we all know turned out to be incorrect.
