Hello, Dolly! SRO in Mid-December? |
Arriving to the box office at 1pm for SRO? Slim to none I reckon.

A.M. very good.
P.M. very bad.
Bumping this thread to see if anyone has tried recently. Was panning on trying for the Saturday matinee!
I went on December 14th which was a Thursday, I got there at 9:15 and was 11th in line and got the last SRO ticket. Two of my friends went on Saturday the 16th, they got there at 8 AM and were 3rd and 4th in line. So I think if you show up around 8-8:15 you should be fine.
If you decide to forgo standing online and willing to roll dice, pay attention to Stubhub day of show as I was able to get first row mezzanine for yesterday’s matinee for $140. Just had to run to 41st and Broadway to pick it up.
lately weeknight Bette shows on Stubhub their have been side orch and balcony seats for under $100 as well.
just checked stubhub as well and Saturday night there are some 20 balcony seats under $90.
Not sure if you're still looking, but a friend went on Wednesday and got a SRO ticket for the matinee at 10:10!
A friend and I got SRO for last Friday's performance around 6:30pm.

I know it's January now, but thought I'd update.
I tried rush this morning (Wed 1/3/18) for this. I got there a little after 8am and was 4th or 5th in line. Didn't ask the guys ahead when they got there. At 8:30am about 4 more people came on line. Then about 8:45am, one of the cleaning staff let us stay in the lobby. At around 9am, more people added to the line. Not sure exactly how many, maybe 15 or more.
When they opened at exactly 10am, they opened 3 windows. I got a spot at the matinee just a couple people left of center. Except for one short Cornelius and Barnaby scene up on the top balcony near the beginning of Act 1. Otherwise, was not too bad. I'm sure people will start lining up earlier closer to Midler's departure, but seems 8:30-9am is your best bet for this week at least.
