I was really looking forward to this. Then I saw the show score reviews https://www.show-score.com/off-broadway-shows/peter-pan

It is actually pretty split on Show Score. I plan to see this.

Saw it tonight and thought it was really fantastic. Definitely don't go in expecting anything traditional—in fact, it's best to imagine it as a new show entirely, but it will make you laugh until you're silly and leave you thinking on the subway ride home.

I am not exactly sure what I witnessed tonight but it was...something. The doubling of roles was so confusing and off-putting I was lost for some stretches. I really didn't care for Mrs. Darling flirting with Nana, Mr/Mrs Darling trying to have sex while they are also playing Hook/Smee or Hook trying to get sexual with Peter Pan. If you are confused just reading that try seeing it live. If you don't know the stage play of Peter Pan well you will be totally lost. The set is pretty hideous, a lot of painter's tarp and some astro turf possibly left over from The Wolves. When Tink "died" people didn't even want to clap silently hoping it would end early and they could just go home (Tink is French here btw and spends most of the show smoking and talking in French). People were walking out in droves, it seems like many  in the audience had a breaking point. As a side note, there was a group towards the back who were making so much noise and talking back at the performance. They were just hooting and hollering throughout the show until they decided to leave about three quarters through, I think they might have been friends with one of the ushers. At one point Peter and Wendy almost kiss and they started screaming their heads out whistling at the stage. When a character got undressed they acted like five year olds and made some more noise. This is a small space so anyone screaming at the stage will be heard loudly.

It was exceptionally bizarre but I liked it. Go with an open mind and possibly consider not being totally sober.

I saw it about a month ago, and while it is easily the strangest thing I've ever seen, it did leave you with some food for thought. I agree with what those above have said about one person playing multiple roles– that didn't help the extremely... different... take land with me any more. I did appreciate the fresh take, but it's certainly not for everyone.
