For my English class, I am doing a Macbeth Music Project where I have to pick a song related to each act. I really want them all to be musical theatre songs and I have a song for all of the other acts except act 3. Thanks!

I've always thought those lines were a clever way of avoiding the Macbeth curse."
It sets up that way, then he goes and just says Macbeth in the next line. Works great as a joke, and the show seems to have done allright despite the curse. It's pretty downhill for the character from there, though.

the curse has to do with saying the name of the play Macbeth; Hamilton mentions the name of the character Macbeth.
"Contentment, it seems, simply happens. It appears accompanied by no bravos and no tears."
