LOBBY HERO at the Hayes |
Various older seating charts show it with AA, BB and (sometimes) CC orchestra rows. The new Telecharge seating chart for sale starts with A. Ive seen that where an orchestra pit is added, but obviously not the case here. Maybe that's the new configuration?
Thanks for this - completely overlooked the presale.
Would first row be too close for this theater? Normally I don't sit that close for productions, but on our dates the rest of the orchestra is already pretty depleted. Have a couple of shorter people with us though, so it makes it tougher depending on stage height.
Popping in to see if anyone has seating recommendations as well! I'd love to not have to spend more than $99 on this show. Those seats look to be the extreme sides of the orch, side mezz, row E and back, center mezz, row G and back, and the way back of the orch. Right now I'm thinking either side mezz row E on the aisle or the extreme sides of the orch, but I'm worried about views.
I can't imagine mezzanine would be terrible since the theater is so small, but I don't know how steep it is. If I can sit only a couple of rows away from the stage but at an angle for the same price, I just might do it.
Has Second Stage done discounts or rush/lottery in the past? Debating on holding out for that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is their first show in a Broadway house, right?

I don't know how the renovations will affect seating choices, but I saw The Humans from the back row on an aisle and it was perfectly fine--no obstructions.

I don't recall reading anything previously to indicate that this was to be a "limited run", but they're only selling tickets till March. Was it always going to be so short-lived?

Straight White Men is scheduled to start performances in July 2018. There might be a few extension weeks built into the Lobby Hero schedule, but probably not much. It was always a limited run.

Thanks - I'm coming up at the end of May and was hoping to see this, but it seems certain that it will no longer be an option then.

How are they only selling through March? Doesn't it start in March?
ETA: Yeah, according to the 2ST site, it's running through May 13.

Sorry, that was a typo - I meant May.

Checking these seats, I'm torn. I don't really want to pay more than $99, so looks like I'm choosing between extreme sides of the front rows orch, and extreme sides of the front rows mezz. Any one know anything about the sightlines from these extreme sides? The orch seats move to $129 later in the run, but looks like the mezz sticks at $99 for the run. Do we think this is an indication that the mezzanine would be the worse choice?

It was always presented as being part of Second Stage's first Broadway season, which certainly implies that shows have to be limited runs.

Wondering the same thing. I can’t imagine that any view would be too awful since the Hayes is so small. Debating whether to wait until the box office opens and save on those damn fees.
I bit the bullet. Giving the wife an early Christmas present. Between the Audience Rewards and a current AMEX offer, it brought the tickets down a little.
I bit the bullet and went for side front mezz. Hoping for the best. The rendering makes it appear like there are aisles on the sides, so I'm hoping that's the case. Orchestra sides still looked like they backed up to the walls.

Did the same thing Shari. Really hope there’s aisles on the Mezz sides. Looking forward to this and $99 + fees isn’t too bad.
