From what I've seen around 50-60 people for roughly 20-24 tickets.

Below is what's written from the FAQ of the website:
"A limited number of $39.50 same-day tickets will be made available at the box office prior to each performance of Once On This Island. The ticket lottery will take place 90 minutes before each performance. Entries will be accepted starting two hours before the performance. (EXCEPTIONS: For Saturday matinee performances only, the lottery will take place 2 hours prior to curtain, and entries will be accepted starting 2 and a half hours prior to curtain. For Sunday matinee performances only, the lottery will take place 60 minutes prior to curtain, and entries will be accepted starting 90 minutes prior to curtain.) Limit one entry per person, and two tickets per winner. Winners must be present at time of drawing and valid identification must be shown to purchase tickets. $39.50 cash or credit card."

I went this morning and due to the lottery time change exception for sat matinees there were roughly 45 people there for 20 rush tickets. Wicked had its lottery at the same time and 2 winners of Once on this Island rush lottery became Wicked lottery winners too (and both of them picked Wicked). No one was upset since it meant more chances to win for those who were there in person!

I think it's best for both shows to not have their rush lotteries at the same time.... or may be its fine the way it is (seems most people take the Wicked ticket than OOTI) to give more chances to OOTI fans to win!

I won the lottery on Thursday, the first day of previews.  There were probably around 50 people and they had 24 tickets.

The seats were excellent.  We were Row D Seats 239 and 241.  View was PERFECT, felt like premium seats!  Show is amazing, incredible cast and the staging and direction was excellent.
