Look at other shows that Alan Menken wrote.  "I want the good times back" from The Little Mermaid is written in a lower range for Ursula.  Also give a listen to "God Help the Outcasts" from Hunchback. But the reality is, thru musicnotes.com you can adjust the key for almost any song.
