BroadwayWorld lists The Prom as being an upcoming tenant at the Shubert (not a Shubert house, but THE Shubert) on the page below.

https://www.broadwayworld.com/shows/theatre.php?theatre_id=5075

Could Hello, Dolly! wrap up performances this summer, making room for The Prom next fall? They're selling tickets through July 15th.

Shubert as in a Shubert theater. The Prom going to the Shubert would be the stupidest decision ever. It’ll most likely be at a theater like the Jacobs or Golden.

I think that is just when Peters is scheduled through, but no way to know if that is the end of Dolly.

BWW thinks tributes is a verb, so I take a lot of their reporting with hesitation.

I agree it would be a strange decision, but it's listed specifically under THE Shubert Theatre.

While we're talking about DOLLY...I have 2 friends connected with the production and they told me there's no truth the the rumor that Bette's final performance is going to be taped for theatrical release. It's not being taped at all.

The dark nights before Bernadette takes over are for tech. Some changes are being put in for Bernadette (Merman songs?) and they'll require some technical revisions.

According to telecharge it’s “coming to a Shubert Theater to be announced”

The Shubert Theatre listing has been removed. It was just a listing issue confusing "a Shubert Theatre" with "the Shubert Theatre."

O my, I hope they put in the Merman songs!  Also, I hope they change the keys to better suit Peters' strong upper range.

The PROM just shouldn't take any Broadway house.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

They probably will.

This is probably the worst news I’ve heard. I hope it’s not true, though I would be interested in hearing what they might change for Bernadette.

When someone says “merman songs” can you be clear is this your speculation or the rumor you actually heard? I’d be very surprised if they did this (though perhaps it gives people more reason to go back and some buzz in reviews).

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

The Merman songs came up in our conversation. No one knew for sure. The only thing that is certain is that changes are being made for Bernadette.

I'm just thinking of the cast recording which might come out of something like this (at least numbers where Dolly sings, please?).

I would love that but not going to get my hopes up. Still disappointed they didn’t record Bernadette and Elaine for their turn in Night Music. I would have never needed another recording of Send in the Clowns.
