What songs for Thanksgiving Parade?

Now that lots of the performing shows have been announced, what songs do we think will be performed?!

Spongebob: Bikini Bottom Day, or Best Day Ever

I do not know Anastasia well enough to guess.

^^ yes im very confused as to why they are performing. Im sure it will be great!!! But DEH isnt really that peppy for a thanksgiving parade show. I think they will probally do Anbody have a map and or Sincerly Me (with some lyric changes to make it more appropite) But i think if they do youll be found it doesnt really work with the venue i guess.

Of them all, I think the only odd ball out is DEH. I mean the Parade performance is just the actors on a blank space. It's all about eye catching costumes and dancing to get the message across. It's all about high energy and happy family goodness. That's.... not really DEH. That is not knocking the show at all. I suppose they are using the slot to promote their new lead but I could very easily see it falling kind of flat if they do one of their standard songs. You Will be Found relies way to much on the design of the social media to read well on 34th street and I just can't picture after having Ben sing Waving SO MANY TIMES, would it be a wise move to throw the new actor out there with the song to compare and pick apart right out the gate.

If DEH preforms waving through a window I stg I'll throw myself out a window. I think they should perform You Will Be Found except it's really long. Sincerely me is only 3 cast members so that won't work too well. Imagine they had the fans be the social media during you will be found during the parade like comet did at the Tony's! Sincerely Me or You Will be found for sure.

 

On SpongeBob, Bikini bottom day because that's very catering to the younger audience and showcases the costumes and cast. I don't listen to Anastasia or Once on This Island but I'm looking forward to Anastasia the most because their costumes are beautiful!

My guess is that DEH will do You Will Be Found - lets the whole cast be part of it and it gets away from WTAW fatigue.

I think Paris Holds the Key is the likeliest choice for Anastasia, again because it uses almost the whole cast, it's catchy and would probably play well on TV, and because, as lovely and iconic as Once Upon A December is, I can't see them lugging those massive costumes out for the parade, but I think they'll want to do a number from the film to play up the 20th anniversary.

I don't think "Sincerely Me" is a good choice because there's definitely some lines in it that's inappropriate for young children (unless they cleaned it up a bit), so my guess is also "You Will Be Found."
I am surprised to see DEH on the list, and that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is not performing!

Why shouldn’t DEH perform? Show off one of the new stars and, despite it being sold out for a lot of 2018 already, show the world the show survives without its star.

Also: I don’t think they’d ever do Sincerely, Me for something like this. I’m not sure why anyone
think they would or why it’s always suggested.

Dear Evan Hansen - I'd really like to see a medley of Disappear & You Will Be Found  . . . . Also, they could also do a live segment from the Music Box aired on the parade like CBS does, but that's never been done on NBC so I'm not sure!

Anastasia - I would assume that they'd stick with musical numbers like Paris Holds the Key to Your Heart and Journey to the Past to draw more fans in to the theater, but I'd really love to see Land of Yesterday be done since that STOPPED the show when I saw it in previews!

My thoughts exactly. I think they're really pushing this point... on Jeopardy the other night in the Broadway 2017 category, Trebek even said (after the DEH answer) "even though Ben Platt is leaving next week, the show will continue its run!" That was obviously a marketing request, not something he just arbitrarily volunteered. My guess (and hope) is that they'll do an abridged You Will Be Found.

I'm shocked that Anastasia chose those songs, since its only really Christy and one line from Derek. It's beautiful, but surprising. I was really expecting Paris Holds the Key to your heart because everyone (but Ramin) has a solo.

It just feels like they've sung this too much on TV to me. I hope they can do something else like Me and the Sky or 28 Hours / Wherever We Are or at least Somewhere in the Middle of Nowhere)
