Only bought my ticket Friday night for today’s (Sunday 10/22) 1pm show at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh, the third city on the national tour, thinking it just wasn’t my cup of tea, but wanted something to do to round out my weekend after Bridge Day 2017 down at the New River Gorge Bridge. Having never seen the movie (really not a Jack Black fan at all) I just had serious doubts I would enjoy this. Man was I wrong. And those crazy kids!!! Man are they talented!

I downloaded the original Broadway Cast recording on my Napster (the old Rhapsody) account and listened to it on the drive up (1hr 45min) from my apartment and thought I’d need earplugs (I’m a bit of an old fogie at times, even at 58 years old), but the show was fantastic and the music not as over-the-top as loud as I thought it would be. The finale had everyone on their feet in rousing ovation, and it was well deserved. This was a lot of fun!

Now I may have to go back and watch the movie!

Glad to see that you enjoyed it! I was wondering how the touring production would be.

Been ten years since I seen the movie and I ever get the chance to see this new version one day, I won't without rewatching the movie first. It does look good based on the montage I saw on YouTube.

I saw it in Columbus last week and everyone left the theater with a smile on their face. What more can you want? Wonderful cast!

I like Rob Colletti and enjoyed the show the (one!) time I saw it on Broadway — maybe I'll go to Philly!
