Any chance Crazy for You might come in? Laura Osnes is free, and so is Tony Yazbeck after Prince of Broadway.
Yup Straight White Men has the Hayes in July 2018

I think you're referring to The Minutes, which is supposedly slated for this current season, though we haven't heard anything since they announced.
And thanks for the Straight White Men reminder, y'all! Added

I assume that since it's starting performances on April 30, 2018 that today's announcement about The Boys in the Band marks the first play revival announced for the 2018-2019 season...

How about the Wiz? I'm anxious to see if Neil Meron & Craig Zadan are still committed to bringing the revival to Broadway. Bring in a new cast if needed

I'd say The Wiz is pretty much dead.
^ I just thought I would bring it up since we haven't heard anything in a while. Plus I really liked the Wiz Live on NBC two years ago. The cast was amazing although the pacing was rushed in bits and pieces
The Wiz rights are currently held by the guy who was the head of - and who got fired from - Cirque du Soliel Theatrical.

I kind of would love to see what Cirque could do with The Wiz. They have great ideas, but aren't good at the book musical thing. So a show with an already established book/music, would be great.

The Nap is definitely a new play, but I'm not 100% sure on Choir Boy. I've listed it in the Play Revival category for now, but I'm totally open to change it if somebody thinks this is incorrect!

Isn't "Beetlejuice" eyeing 2018-19?

I'd be very surprised if they consider it a revival. First off, I doubt they would allow it to fall under the classic rule when has not worked its way into the theatrical cannon between its premier and now. Second, its off-Broadway premier was only 5 years ago, which admittedly is a bit of a large gap for a new play on Broadway, but gaps of 2, 3, and 4 years do happen, and 5 or more is not unheard of. Consider that The Visit, which was deemed a new musical, had premiered something like 15 years earlier in regional theatre.
Third, and perhaps most importantly, the press release specifically refers to this production as a "transfer" as opposed to a revival. And it will once again be directed by Trip Cullman, which isn't a sure sign of it being considered new (Blackbird comes to mind as an exception), but it increases the likelihood that they will view it as a transfer of a new play, and not a revival of an established one.

JBroadway, wow, thank you for explaining that so well! I always get a little tripped up on classifying shows that have a prior history like that. I really appreciate it. I've moved it to the New Plays category
theatregoer3, yup! And so is Tootsie! But I'm trying to keep this list limited to productions that are confirmed to open, either by announcing official dates or a venue (just because so many things are "announced" but end up falling through).
