Look at Hamilton now, the cheapest seat in the entire theater is $199."

Because its not $199 its per part so that is $400 plus the transaction fee and if you insure the ticket another $28.  So that is $450 for the show.

I managed to get 2 Dress Circle tickets for Wednesday, December 12th for a friend and I. (We're going to see Frozen the night before.) Had to pay an arm and a leg, but worth it to go.  Got Private lounge access with it, which I guess is their excuse for charging about the price of a NY hotel for 2 tickets.

January 9th 2019 Center Balcony Row G $102 even with fees (bought these during the presale)

March 24th 2018 Left Orchestra Row K $407 (Bought these around 10:20 CST today
"

Are you going to return the ones you got yesterday?

Does anyone know how that works? I assume they don't have to take the tickets back, right?
"

To be honest I don’t plan on it. I will most likely see it twice or part with them if the price is right. Leaning towards seeing it twice though.

But it's two shows so the tickets are priced as such. In a sense they're only doing 4 shows a week so prices need to be higher to compensate. Also, tickets are refundable so why insure them?

Considering if I can afford $1700 to take the niece and nephew, but I cringe at the $95.50 worth of fees included in that. For what?!? The aggravation? My time? My computer? My stress? Absurd.

Yeah, it's weird Ticketmaster wants to make money by providing the entire back-end infrastructure for people to sell tickets through them...

I have to say it was a fairly painless process today! I was 5192 in the queue line, so it took about 10-15 minutes for me to access the available tickets. The website was moving efficiently and gave me no error messages. I got Orchestra Row J Seat 31 for $199 each part for a Sunday in May. Expensive, but not bad considering it's only a few months away and considering the demand for this show!

Got tix during presale yesterday, and bought another pair today for the same date/times; was 17,300 in line and it took about 20+ min. The tix I got yesterday put us in row E (the $199 seats) and was only able to find row N for the same price today. One plus for the presale.

But I wish they actually allowed you to purchase tickets at the Box office for no fee...even if I'd likely have to wait several hours to get them.

I just had the same experience with my tickets.  Got my knickers in a twist for nothing.  Lesson learned!

Well it probably depends on the date you're going and when your access code time was. I was at 1pm yesterday and I got seats I wasn't that happy with for February and today I got seats that were way better for June that I couldn't get yesterday.

All that was left were the expensive tickets of course. I might as well see the show in London. Or wait until tickets go on sale for April 2019.

Depends on how many tickets you want... as you crank quantity up or down, availability changes.

I did get in, (33,000th in line) and had availability for the date I looked out....however, I really wasn't willing to part with 800 bucks for a show more than a year from now.   I just don't spend that kind of money: Didn't pay it for Hamilton, won't pay it for this.  I can wait.  Or completely lose interest.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I'd like them to explain why there were suddenly so many tickets available today (albeit pricey ones), when they sent out an email yesterday advising that all tickets had been sold. And why does the calendar indicate availability for a date, but when you select it, all price points are grayed out?

Can you get a refund on tickets if you didn’t select the insurance option? I have an extra ticket for June 13th I don’t need

I was looking for a single seat for May, secured seats, and then after entering in all of my credit card information, I got error messages that I had exceeded the ticket limit.  Is there actually a cap on the number of tickets total that we can buy for the entire run per household?  I read that we could buy 6 per transaction/code?  I bought 4 in the first presale for October, and 2 yesterday for the same date in October.  I was planning to return the first 4 or offer them here at cost once I found close to what I wanted for May.  Now I don't have my single seat in May.

If this is the case, if I transfer the first 4 October seats to someone here on the forums, will that still count against the maximum tickets and then I still won't be able to buy a single ticket?  I can call and return the tickets, but I don't want to stay on hold forever today.

Yes, as long as you do so more than 14 days prior to show date.

You're probably better off just using another family members or friends account to get the single seat instead of wasting your time trying to contact them.
