Questions, comments, observations?  I saw the show in Chicago and will fly from SF to NYC to see preview performances on 11/9 and 11/11.

The thing that impresses me most about everything I've seen so far is Ethan Slater's star quality. He's effortlessly and endlessly charming, with a great voice and spot-on physicality. Clearly, he's a born stage performer, and I think people will fall in love with him in this role. I know some people are dubious about this show, but I'm expecting something very special.

Completely agree. He is remarkable....he has a dynamism and appeal that is hard to describe or quantify but it is impossible to take ones eyes off of him.

And Gavin Lee will stop the show in the second act when he performs Squidward's big number.

Like Hello, Dolly! this show is pure joy from beginning to end.  Boy, do we ever need it now.
