So, she lives in NYC now?
Connecticut is her main residence so she commutes back and forth. She has an apartment in Manhattan for the 2 show days.
This has always been the routine for decades whenever she works in NYC.

It also says in the article’s first paragraph that she once owned the home, meaning she’s not the current owner.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

What a gorgeous estate! 85 acres is a lot of land though. That's a ton of upkeep. I don't blame LuPone for downsizing.

The current house in CT is small at 1,800 square feet. She's said that the SC house is really her primary residence now. Of course, War Paint necessitated being in NY and CT.

I believe she moved to the smaller house in Connecticut around the time she sold all of her crap on eBay. I think that was all part of downsizing.
