Excited about Doss, but extremely disappointed that Oak's actions and attention-seeking apparently face no consequences whatsoever. Debating over whether to watch this.. oh well.

Maybe he'll move on to TV and we'll never have to see him on stage again. I'd be quite content with that.

Very happy for Doss, she gave a great performance in Groundhog Day that no one seemed to notice -- except for Shonda Rhymes!

Honestly, this feels like such a slap in the face to every actor on Comet, especially the ones who don't have jobs right now. If he becomes famous off of this tv show, then he'll come back to Bway... I already have a headache.

Now we know why he felt comfortable with "speaking out" about a musical he had little involvement in recently.

I can’t wait for when the shows ratings get so low, they kill off oak and they replace him with Mandy Patinkin

Why would he have faced consequences in an entirely different industry?

I suspect that he- like many stage actors before him- will largely leave behind theatre and have a lucrative but low-wattage TV career.

What a #@%@... he had to of known he was at least making headway in the auditioning process for this when he was let go from The Comet, and if I had to be that's why he didn't want to come back. If I were the some of The Comet's investors, I'd be contemplating a liable suit against Oak for causing the show close early, especially now that they know he has money. The suit probably wouldn't go anywhere, but I'd love to for them to legally drag his name through the mud.

Kad, I assumed smarter heads wouldn't even consider putting him in a workplace environment where he could bring down another production based on his ego and how he treats his co-workers. I thought that would span to all forms of entertainment.. I guess I was wrong. Turns out you can scream at your director, treat your coworkers like garbage, not show up to work prepared, create a false controversy that hurts others just to fill up your own ego, and immediately get hired as a series regular on an ABC drama.

He could have had this booked long before Comet, but either way, not sure why TV would be concerned about Broadway kerfuffles.

TV is a different beast than theatre. And if Oak's ego is a problem, it won't be an uncommon one.

Shonda Rhimes is used to dealing with problematic actors. Look at Greys Anatomy. And on a firefighters series there will be quite creative ways to dispatch of cast members.

Or you can get hired as a series regular and then do all that? Your timeline may not be his.

I just fail to understand why she would intentionally give herself and her crew a potential headache, especially when casting somebody who isn't even a name.

Doesn't Shona have a "No Jack#$@#"'s rule on all of her sets after the Katherine Heigl debacle?

I guess he should be killed off rather quickly then...hopefully in a fire started by a comet that crashes into a building alla Lexie's death in Grey's Anatomy....

Which, in my mind, makes what he did so much worse... He screwed everybody over, knowing that he had a cushy TV deal in the wings. Wow.

Exactly. And I was really looking forward to this. I like Jason George from Grey's and Barrett Doss of course.

But now...the wound is too fresh.
