My first exposure to her was in Dolly, but looking back, she's done so many incredibly talented things in her career (Her Irene will always be my favorite, though). Her voice is so unique and gorgeous, I've truly never heard anything like it. She adds a new flavor to every character she plays; let it be Sandra Bloom or Anna Leonowens, she's got the talent. Here are some covers and snippets that I love:
I eagerly hope we see her more and more on the stage. Dolly! was also my first exposure to her, and she totally bowled me over. At the end of her "Ribbons Down My Back," my friend and I turned and looked at each other with our jaws on the floor. Her voice is unbelievable, and she's an incredible treat to watch perform.
I'm so happy this thread exists, because I just came back from seeing Hello, Dolly! and I thought Kate Baldwin was an absolute standout. I love her "Ribbons Down My Back", both live and on the cast album. Her part in "It Only Takes A Moment" tonight was fantastic, and I am blown away with the uniqueness of her voice.

I fell in love with her as a performer in Big Fish. She was such a great match for Norbert Leo Butz. She delivered such raw and heartbreaking emotion in that show. I've been following her career ever since. Here's hoping she gets a lead role of her own soon!
She's amazing as Irene Molloy. Sadly for whatever reason the three times I saw her she was the only character not to get entrance applause. Maybe because the audience believes that Irene Molloy is a heartless golddigger based on what Dolly has said about her prior to her entrance? IDK. But she's sexy, funny, and has a beautiful voice.

I'd love to see her sing Anna Leonowens someday."
She actually has! In the Lyric Opera's production of The King and I.
I first saw Kate Baldwin in 2008 as Amalia in the Huntington Theater's She Loves Me, and she was just wonderful. I actually think I liked her more than Laura Benanti, and I wish she could've played the role on Broadway. I've always felt like Baldwin was overshadowed by Benanti and Kelli O'Hara as a Broadway soprano, and I'm glad she's so loved in Hello, Dolly.
(She was also just lovely in Westport Country Playhouse's I Do! I Do! with Lewis Cleale a few years ago.)
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

She is one of my favorites. People should be writing musicals for that glorious voice. She is the only person I've ever written a fan letter to. I wrote her about how great I thought her album was. She quickly sent me back a lovely note on Finian's Rainbow stationary and signed my cd booklet I enclosed. She's a class act.
She's great! I first heard of her on the 'Kitty's Kisses' studio album. She managed to make grown adults balancing on a railroad rail sound like enormous fun in 'Walkin' The Track', which became my favourite track (no pun intended) on the album. She also sounds amazing on the 'Giant' cast recording, which of course also has board favourite du jour Brian D'rcy James all through it.
Love her!! Saw her for the first time in the early 2000s as Nelly Forbush in South Pacific at Arena Stage. I also enjoyed her Marian in The Music Man a few years ago.

Her solo CDs are also really good! I love her rendition of "When Did I Fall In Love?" on her live "She Loves Him" album. (Of course, she also sounded amazing as Thea in the more recent Encores production of Fiorello!)
