I am now officially way too consumed with the renaissance of the Hillary-Bernie wars.
I read this as "new NINA Turner Musical Sets World Premiere Dates in London."
I'm a big TT fan, but wondering if this will be any different from the 1991 movie which was based on her memoir "I, Tina" ?
Didn't Adrienne Warren do a workshop or reading of this a while back? I loved her in Shuffle Along, so I hope she stays with it!

Hope this turns out better than latest spat of jukebox musicals. I was excited initially, but Tina deserves a thoughtful musical representation of her life. I hope this turns out to be exactly that.
I just got back from a London trip. I saw this. The good news it is definitely better than many jukebox musicals, though it could still be improved. Yet again we have to start with a young version of Tina which to me is completely unnecessary. (And just like Donna, yes she sang in church!) The projections are also awful.
The real reason that this works better is Adrienne Warren who is absolutely incredible in this.I think Tony worthy. She is giving a truly fantastic performance. I think that this show really understands what we want: to hear Tina's music. There is a fantastic concert section at the end of the show that feels more full than most of the megamixes we usually get. Also, unlike Donna, most songs are performed fully so I didn't feel like we were getting 60 seconds here and there etc.
