I have a ticket that I can't use and would like to sell it. Has anyone had experience in dropping off a ticket at the theater box office to be sold on day of performance?

You'll likely have better luck selling it here or on Stubhub, depending on what show it is. The theater would rather sell empty seats than resell yours for you, so you're more likely to actually get your money back if you sell it yourself.

I have never heard of any box office in NYC selling an already purchased ticket for someone. I know it's common in London for sold out shows though.  Stick it on Stubhub.  You can make a profit on there easily for Dolly.

Thanks John. I have put it on Stub Hub. Not thinking of making a profit, but to break even. The box office did offer to try to sell it day of, if the show was sold out. Just don't know the chances of it selling.

I appreciate your suggestion.
