Hi! I have front row tix to my favorite show on Wednesday night which closes this Sunday (getting pretty obvious here, but). Anyway, since it's closing week, and I've heard of people doing this before, I think it's fine but wanna double check / get advice. If I wanted to hand a cast member flowers at the end after curtain call, that's okay to do right? Anyone done it before? I want it to be a nice gesture and not cringey so any tips or warnings are great! And is it okay still if it isn't to the lead actor(s)?

In all honesty, you'd probably be better off waiting at the stage door afterwards and giving them to the person there.I'm assuming you don't personally know this person? It just seems awkward to try to get someone's attention from the stage, especially if you aren't even very close to them when they are out there. And at the stage door you may get to talk to them longer and it will be more personal.

There is also the option of sending the flowers to their dressing room before the show, which I think is quite nice. Allows them to appreciate it, rather than the chaos of curtain calls or the stagedoor. Besides, do you have flowers for everyone? It may be awkward trying to hand them off onto the stage, what if the wrong person comes to pick them up? Whereas you can knock on the stagedoor before teh show, hand off the flowers and say "These are for X"

Exactly - give it to the performer(s) BEFORE the show - not after.  Just give them to the door man along with the card of who it's for.

Yes, please avoid sitting there with flowers on the front row for the entirety of the show. I have terrible allergies to flowers and some of the people around you or even the performers on stage might, too. If you want to give someone flowers, do it at the stage door or order them online and put in the address / name of the theatre and the actor's name. They'll get them that way.

thanks for the tips, we went with stagedoor!!! it went really well and you guys were right that at curtain call it would have been awkward / it would have felt attention seeking so im glad we didnt go with that. (the show was ghd if it wasnt obvious already...) we gave them to andy and barrett (barrett got very very excited and hugged all of us) and joseph as well. im gonna miss this show a lot
