Is anyone else seeing this? I'm seeing the first two previews tomorrow and Saturday and I'm so excited! It uses the songbook of Dan Fogelberg to tell an original story, like Mamma Mia did. It has local Nashville actors, LA actors, and Broadway actors. It runs through the 24th of this month. They want to bring it to bring it to Broadway and tour it. I will report back once I see it.

I saw a workshop presentation a couple of years ago and enjoyed it.

What did you think?

Saw they were offering $35 rush tickets and debating on whether or not to go.

I saw it last night. It's a sweet, endearing, well-meaning show, but it needs a lot of work before they have a chance at taking it to Broadway. A couple standouts in the cast, but the book is pretty weak. It's like a less successful version of Bright Star.

I highly recommend this show. Yes it has its problems, but don’t most shows trying out for the first time in front of a paying audience with the full sets, costumes, staging, etc? If you love Dan Fogelberg’s music or if you’ve never heard of him, the music and the arrangements are so beautiful. I would pay to see the lead, Harley Jay, in anything. He is a real star! The entire cast overall is top notch. I think they want it to tour before it hopefully comes to Broadway, so we will see what happens after Nashville.

Saw it twice last weekend. Overall I loved it. There are a few areas that need some work, but I thought the use of Dan Fogelberg’s music, with which I was completely unfamiliar, was well done.

Ive had “Phoenix” stuck in my head for days.

I’m traveling from Louisville,KY again to see both shows today, Saturday 9/23! I love this show so much and I will be interested to see if there are any changes that they made since previews.

They definitely did. They made changes between Friday night and Saturday night last week.

I did notice the changes. They were subtle, but effective. I really hope the show goes on tour and then on to Broadway!

I went. I was surprised at how well the songs fit into the story despite having not being written for a story. The book still needs some work, but overall it's a good story.

The set works well despite not being overly complicated.

There was one song in the second act where the staging felt completely out of place, but that can be corrected.

The cast will also need a little refinement if they want to head to broadway and will probably need a few more actors so they aren't doubling up as much.

Aside from the one cut scene with Josie, anything else? Feel free to message me if you’d rather.

Probably Pheonix. I agree 100%. It doesn’t fit. Love the song though.
