Depends on theatre availability and if it could do a late Feb/March start for previews and open by Tony cutoff. Since the show’s Canadian run ends in December, I feel if they are looking at this season it would be towards the end.

Hopefully it is transferring, but I think it'll have to wait until Circle in the Square opens, so assuming Once On This Island is open until the Tonys, it'll probably wait until the next season.

Well, from what it sounds like is that Chavkin is reworking it for a proscenium space up at the Citadel. I'm curious if they're doing it this way to get into a spring space?
It would be smart (As this season is kind of slow, new musicals wise) but I the feeling I get is that Hadestown is wanting to take their time and get it right before going to broadway. I am thinking they're going to transfer next year.

As of now, nothing has been announced for the Booth Theatre following Meteor Shower.
Don't know why this has Broadway plans. This show is even slighter than Comet and will flop even harder. And it has less good songs. It barely sold out it's off broadway run unlike other shows. A lot more shows should be eyeing Broadway instead of this, but I guess it's a vanity project for the songwriter?

What are you on about? It was actually one of the highest grossing shows at NYTW. Ever.
There was a lot of regular priced availability even near the end of the show's run. And it was on TDF a lot. Sure they were all sold by showtime, but not in advance like Othello, Lazarus, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, Hamlet, Tiny Beautiful Things, Sweet Charity or Band's Visit.
Was it their highest grossing simply because it ran 3 months instead of the usual 2?

I don't know what you mean by "slighter" but there's no way this would flop worse than Comet. First of all, it's such a small/simple show the running costs can't be anything major, plus the music is significantly less polarizing than Comet's. If it transferred it could probably take Best Score, imo.
EXCLUSIVE: Rachel Chavkin Discusses Her Directorial Process in Hadestown
“After an acclaimed Broadway engagement at New York Theatre Workshop, director Rachel Chavkin is returning to Anaïs Mitchell's Hadestown for a pre-Broadway run at The Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, Canada, November 11-December 3.”
I’m thrilled to read more confirmation that a Broadway production is in the works, even though there is still the question of when. Cannot wait!

Hopefully Chris Sullivan stays with the show. I know he's busy with This is Us, but he was phenomenal at the NYTW.

highly disagree, the first time i heard the score i was stunned by its beauty and variety. it’s a bit more complex than the average broadway fare but imo not as strange or potentially offputting as Comet.
also, how did i not realize Chris Sullivan from this is us played hermes?? he’s fantastic! that whole cast really was, i particularly wish Damon would appear in the broadway production (i just do not like Reeve Carney). Amber Grey could have a great shot at the Tony, and i’m very excited to see TV Carpio join the cast.
Does Hudson have anything lined up after The Parisian Woman closes? Last I checked, people were buzzing about Dreamgirls going there and that's yet another show we haven't heard anything about. Hadestown could work at this venue. It's quite intimate, even if not quite as industrial looking.
I didn't realize that Chris Sullivan is the actor on This Is Us! I attended the final performance of Hadestown at New York Theater Workshop, so I saw some replacements. Matthew Saldivar played Hermes during the extension. I thought he was excellent in the role. Patrick Page had also departed by the time I saw it.
