Dear Evan Hansen- Ticket Resale Validity?

Hello,

I am currently hoping to go see Dear Evan Hansen in early November, since Ben Platt announced he was leaving the show, and I'm currently trying to find affordable tickets. I've been looking at sites like TicketNetwork, VividSeats, and StubHub, but I don't want to risk the possibility that I'll get counterfeit tickets. Is there any way to know for sure whether any of these sites are valid, and/or how I would know if they're a scam or not? Can anyone speak from personal experience whether any of these sites are reliable?

Okay, does the possibility of two or more people being separated by one seat say anything? And how would you recommend ticket delivery- in person, UPS, or electronic?

I sent a PM about tickets I may have available.  But I highly recommend StubHub.  I purchased tickets for a matinee to Beautiful in previews in SAn Francisco and arrived at the theatre to find out they were for the  evening.  Couldn't go in the evening.  House manager gave us us house seats at  reasonable price and stubhub more than made good for the problem (which frankly would have been alleviated if I had just looked at the tickets.)

In that case, I'll probably do hard copy tickets, just since I figure the price probably isn't gonna be dropping in one of Platt's last weekends, lol. Thanks for the help! :)

We had Stub Hub tickets for last Friday's DEH performance. They were hard copy real tickets mailed to me a couple weeks ahead of time because they were partial view, so whoever originally purchased would've had to buy in person at the box office. That being said, I was still terrified they would be fake so we arrived right when the doors opened around 7:15/7:20; just in case there was something wrong with the tickets I wanted Stub Hub to have plenty of time to rectify the situation (they say they will attempt to get you similar or better seats, if available, and worst case scenario your money back). Luckily they were real and we saw Ben and the rest of the original cast and it was so amazing, worth every penny, and just as good as I had hoped! For what it's worth, everyone in line around us also had Stub Hub tix and they all seemed to get in just fine. I hope you get a chance to see him!

I'd go with StubHub above any others.

I used StubHub back in May for DEH. Picked up my tickets at their Marriott location near Times Square. No problems and friendly staff. Will definitely use them again.

FYI you may want to check a site called TickPick for better prices (they charge lower fees to sellers so customer pays less). I had never heard of them until I bought Hamilton tickets around last years Tonys - so at ridiculous prices.  I took a gamble bc the prices for the same exact seats were considerably cheaper than TM resale and StubHub.  Bought hard tickets.  No problems at all and have since used them again (for U2 as well as touring Book of Mormon - got E-tickets for those).  They have the same exact guarantee that StubHub has.  Not everyone knows about the site so you may have fewer options but definitely price compare.  I've never had an issue and even emailed customer service before Hamilton bc I was a bit nervous and they were fantastic.
