Also I am very happy for her....she's finally getting the recognition she deserves after being Broadway's favorite under appreciated comedic genius for nearly 2 decades!!!

I hope this means she will finally get a star vehicle to finally get her that much deserved Tony Award.

Thrilled her performance was recognized and being nominated alongside other award winning actresses. I'm sure she's shocked and already sending Ryan Murphy flowers.

Also happy the entire principal cast of FEUD: Bette & Joan has been nominated. Ryan Murphy is our generation's Aaron Spelling. Revolutionizing the art of television. Too excited for Season 2 of FEUD: Charles & Diana. I do know that Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon will appear in it in some capacity.

Then there's Season 2 of AMERICAN CRIME STORY: Versace with Penelope Cruz, Edgar Ramirez, Ricky Martin and Darren Criss.

Don't get me started.

Feud didn't get a record number. Westworld and SNL both scored 22 nominations.

That is one of there stupidest posts I have read in awhile.

I actually think Hoffman deserved her nomination, because she was very good and kept to the script...heck, she made more of the character than was probably there in the words.

But, I personally think she has ruined many a live performance for me -- most egregiously in On The Town -- with her over-the-top ad-libbing; and, she would ruin Hello, Dolly. Not to worry, though, no-one is EVER going to give her a shot at the lead of Hello Dolly, at least not in a city with a population that exceeds 10,000.

Ain't necessarily so. Friend of mine won an international Emmy in Hair. Told me many producers wouldn't consider her after cos they were afraid she'd cost too much. Money or glory not always both.
