Where are you sending it?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I wrote to him and heard back about six months later. I'm sure he gets a TON of mail--whether sent to the theater or the PO Box address-- and I don't think he was signing while filming in England.

Sending anything now to Lin-Manuel Miranda post-HAMILTON is at your own risk.  Don't expect a response but still remain hopeful you might one day.  His career is now on a different plane than it was during his days still performing in HAMILTON.  He is also a family man so his time is quite limited both professionally and personally.  With the amount of fan mail he has these days, I doubt any assistant can handle this as it is a full time job basically.

Even in my own life I can't answer every email I receive so I can only imagine the amount of correspondence he must receive daily AND with a hectic schedule he must live with nowadays.  As I've learned, success doesn't make things easier - it just makes things harder.

All of what you said is true, but since he set up a PO box for fan mail after leaving Hamilton, that definitely indicated his willingness to have a way for fans to correspond (and he has responded to mail sent to that address when back in NYC for brief breaks from Mary Poppins).
