Stars In The Alley Questions#1

I'm planning on attending the Stars In The Alley event being held this Friday but have a few questions since this would be my first time.

What time should I plan on arriving in order to get a seat?

Do people try/get autographs with performers before they go to the stage? Someone had claimed you can but that forum is from over 10 years ago.

Also, is there a VIP area? I wouldn't mind purchasing a ticket to avoid having to stand around for countless hours. Thanks.

One thing I do know about it is that it's free.

There are no seats. It's a giant crowd of people crammed into Schubert Alley, standing and watching the performances. The earlier you get there, the closer you'll be. If you want breathing room, stay towards the back.
