"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
Loved this beautiful, well-crafted and touching show Off-Broadway! I hope that they bring back the full Off-Broadway cast including Shalhoub and Katrina Lenk. Their chemistry was breathtaking.

Agreed, at the very least those two need to come to Broadway with the show, but I'd love to see the whole cast transfer.
YES! This was absolutely sensational, the performances, set, score, and story was beautiful & powerful. I am so glad they are transferring, and hope they can maintain some of that intimacy that was captured at the Atlantic. I also really hope that they get a cast recording.
The original cast should absolutely return, they were all sensational. Katrina Lenk for the Tony! Though of course it is not even time to make guesses.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Saw it in December and thought it was excellent. I do hope they get to rewrite the Arabic dialogue to Egyptian Arabic-- I would imagine they can get away with it in a small house, but they need to be a bit more astute and accurate on Broadway.
I hope I get to see it. I'm always excited for a new Yazbek score (I even went to see Women on the Verge on Broadway and the West End) and the response from this show has been terrific.
"What can you expect from a bunch of seitan worshippers?" - Reginald Tresilian
In an interview, Mr. Cromer said he doesn’t anticipate that the footprint of the show will change much on a bigger stage.
“We have wing space suddenly, so there are more interesting ways for things to arrive onstage than at the Atlantic,” he said. “It’s going to change the flow. Our first mandate is to not mess things up.”
Perfect! I think it was beautifully designed, I just want them to open it up a bit so it feels less like a big box. Which it sounds like they will. I wanted more of a sense of desolation.
