I often think about a lot the shows I've seen. It doesn't make me sad that they've closed...I'm more grateful that I was able to see them.

A Chorus Line is one show that I feel like should always be running. Also, I remember when Newsies posted their notice. I was completely heartbroken for weeks. It was the show that introduced me to theater.

Walking in Studio 54 to see anything other than Cabaret feels wrong to me. Talk about a show that needs to be running right now. Glad their tour is still out around the country.

Recently Falsettos is the one I wish I could go revisit all the time and the fact that Borle left it for Charlie makes it all the more painful. And I miss enjoying a good laugh watching Something Rotten! Say what you will about it, but it never failed to make me smile.

I've said multiple times how sad I am that seeing Cynthia Erivo in The Color Purple is no longer an option.  I'm so grateful to have seen her in it twice, but it was the most transcendent performance I've ever seen. I could've seen it a million more times and still have shaken for five minutes after I'm Here.

Had so much fun seeing It Shoulda Been You a few times the summer it was opened, and was sad to see it go, sometimes you just need a light-hearted  night or day out, that's what that proved, similarly with Something Rotten! and A Gentleman's Guide to Life and Murder (not shows I truly adore)

Hedwig holds the record for most Broadway viewings and wa a go-to whenever I or my family had something undesirable going on in life and was sad to see to end early.

I would have loved another chance to see American Psycho, but it closed right before I returned from school last season.

It was sad seeing The Color Purple the last time their final week, such unbelievable talent and amazing story.

Lastly, the recent Bway production of Blackbird really hit me hard, for reasons I can't even understand. Michelle Williams was truly heartbreaking in that role and was so incredible.

The recent revival of Front Page I was 2 times and would probably go back more, I thought it was so great and enjoyed every minute of it!!

I miss the original production of FOLLIES.  Saw it four times. Yeah, I'm old.

I feel so much of this, particularly the Hedwig stuff.

I miss Roundabout's She Loves Me and wish it had turned into an open run. Love the simplicity and charm of the musical and think that a number of B'way actors and actresses could have had success with it.

No surprise from my Avitar that mine is Mamma Mia.  It played in my hometown for 5 years and felt the sadness you mean when it left.  But luckily I've had the chance over the years to see it elsewhere and even introduced my daughter to it (who is only 7 but seen it 3 times already - once as a road trip, once in trip to NY and once on a cruise). I'm always keeping my eyes out of it.  I've seen it 24 times and would love to see it again.

"Missing a performance so much that it literally makes you sad/upset is not normal. "

Says the self appointed board monitor. Jumping into threads specifically to admonish and correct someone is probably normal for someone like you.

Having said that, I was sad when Hedwig closed. Being part of that family was a meaningful time in my life.

Justoldbill, back in my student days I also saw the original FOLLIES four times.  I so appreciate having had that irreplaceable experience. I felt the same way after that miraculous year of THE BOY FROM OZ. Nothing will ever touch Hugh Jackman's lead performance, which I was privileged to enjoy numerous times. Those memories don't make me sad, just wistful.
