John Doyle Sweeney Todd rights available?#1

Hello everyone. I've been searching for months to see if there was a way to get the rights to John Doyle's Sweeney Todd. I am  looking to direct the show but want to have a smaller cast ( we also have limited mics so I would opt for no ensemble) I really love the cuts they made to the show and with not having an ensemble it would work wonderfully. Thank you in advance for all input.

I'm pretty sure that the only cuts that were made were to the transition music.

And I don't believe that is available for production. I think MTI holds the rights, you can contact them.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

The revival cut the whole bit with Pirelli in the chest, but I can't think of anything besides that. I suppose some trims here and there around the edges of the scenes.

From what I can tell Pirelli's Miracle Elixir and God thats good have musical and vocal cuts eliminating all of the overlapping lyrics. There are many transitions cut as well as dialogue in certain scenes. I didn't know if the rights to that specific score and script were avaiable since it is slightly different and specifically made for a smaller cast. I will talk to MTI and see what they say. Thank you everyone.
