My wife and I are heading to NY on April 22 for her birthday. We are looking for 8:00 tickets to Dear Evan Hansen. Please let me know if you are looking to sell your tickets. We will only be in NY for the day.

Thanks,

Jamie

Keep checking telecharge every day....possible that some may become available as it gets closer to the date.

I know of some people who have had good luck with buying through stubhub at less than face value about 1 hour to 15 minutes before the show.  Sure, its a gamble, but the prices drop a large amount. Watch out for the stubhub fees, though, and make sure that you can either use them digitally, or print them at the stubhub "store" in nyc.

Someone on here figured out that they release tickets for sale four days before a performance on Telecharge. Make sure to check that day and everyday.

Always, or just when house seats go unsold to the cast/creative team, though?

We're coming in a couple weeks and also hoping for last minute tickets.  People on here have said to try checking telecharge 4 days before.  I've been looking and they do pop up, but mostly seats for $399 (some are $189 range).  That's crazy...and even much more than StubHub.

Definitely keep checking StubHub. The prices drop significantly about an hour before curtain, but with fees it ends up being around or a little less than face value. However, it's still a great option since the show is sold out on Telecharge for a while, so you're paying a little extra money to see the original cast and to see it way sooner than you would be able to otherwise. For me, the show was worth every penny. You should be in luck with StubHub since you are going on a Saturday. For some reason, there are more tickets available and the prices tend to drop more on Friday and Saturday. I purchased tickets last Saturday and then went to the StubHub LMS in NYC to print them out and it was a super easy experience! Good luck :)

If you go the Stubhub route the prices start dropping very quickly towards show time. I typically check 90 minutes before and I keep refreshing. I bought Hamilton tickets 30 minutes before the show to see the OBC and rushed to the theater.
On telecharge I've seen the tickets released in the afternoon. I got my DEH tickets for last thursday (4/13) the sunday before the show just before 4PM.

Can I ask...for telecharge, are these $399 dollar tickets?  There are a bunch now for tomorrows shows (matinee and evening) as well as Thursday evening, but all very pircey.

Good to know about Stubhub.  I do see $90 tickets for tonight's show...oh, which is in 7 minutes. Dear Evan Tickets Wanted 4-22

I do wonder...in the night I'm looking at (a week Friday), Stubhub has 56 tickets available in orchestra, 26 mezzanine middle, and 83 mezzanine sides.  I mean, that's a lot of tickets they are holding onto.  What happens to the unsold tickets?  Seems very unfair when so many would love to go but not pay an arm and leg.

Telecharge will release last-minute $189 and under tickets. Last night, around 11pm, they had side orchestra seats available for this Thursday, and they were still on there when I woke up this morning. It's all about timing.

I have noticed the same thing with telecharge. The tickets are now listed at $399, or there abouts. That is out of our price point. I would ass-u-me they would come down on the day of...?

I haven't seen any premium tickets reduced on the day of. If you're able to spend $189, keep checking Telecharge today and tomorrow, as often as possible, mainly in the afternoon and evening. I've noticed that 4-day rule has sometimes varied by 1 day. Last week, I believe Friday's and Saturday's seats were released on the same day, either last Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm not sure, but I think that a lot of these seats are wheelchair companion seats that they hold until the last minute.

Definitely try Stubhub if you don't mind playing a little chicken.  I got a single (side Orch Row D) on a Friday night for $154 (including fees).  That was one hour before the show.

My friend paid more for a Saturday matinee -- $230 -- but it was dead center of the Orchestra, Row L or M.

Sorry...not the OP but one last question.  For last minute StubHub tickets, where is the pick up? I see a few locations.  Is it near the theatre?  (I'm not from NY so don't know how it works)

At the Courtyard by Marriott on W. 40th St.  Just a few minutes' walk from the theater.  I can't *guarantee* that's where it will be, because I don't know how many there are.  But that's where mine was, and where my friend's was.  And it's got to be the only one that close.

The one I got was the standard orchestra ticket price...with fees it was $200. Seat was excellent as well I was 5th row stage left but closest to the center section. It took me two maybe three days of looking to snag those. Its doable!
