Since there is already a thread for "Hamilton" in Chicago and San Francisco here on the board, I thought I'd create one for LA.
I have my tickets for Sunday, Sept 10th, matinee. I was fortunate enough to purchase them through a friend who is a subscriber at The Pantages.
Please post here if you have your tickets and we'll you'll be going. Really, really looking forward to finally seeing the show.

Looking forward to seeing the show in LA since it was announced about 14 months ago it would be coming to the Pantages!

I've got tickets for early september. However, I honestly have zero interest in this musical. I know it's supposed to be amazing, and everyone talks about it but I didn't enjoy the album. I could care less about the topic. I'm more looking forward to seeing 'something rotten.' Most likely will sell my tickets.

Smallville, I'll gladly take them off your hands. If something Rotten excites you more, Hamilton probably isn't the show for you.

I have tickets for August 18 (season ticket), September 22, & October 20. I really want to see it once every month it's here. Extremely excited. The subscriber extra tickets only let you get 4 additional ones & only the first 3 months, so i got 2 extra pairs. The price range is $89 to $650. The $89 tixs with ticketmaster fees came up to $100 each. And those seats are in the top corner of the mezzanine. I recommend buying Ham tickets at the Pantages box offices so you only pay the $89; they dont have any extra fees.

Yes, the Ticketmaster fees are a pain.
Smallvillefan16, I too and so looking forward to "Something Rotten." I saw it 2 years ago when it first opened and loved every second of it. Brilliant!

Just so you LA folks know, they definitely held back a lot of tickets here in SF and it is absolutely possible to buy tickets direct from the box office during the run. In fact, my son just bought a partial orchestra ticket for tonight ($200) that was released on the website at about 1:30 pm. Not sure it will be the same in LA, but it could be!

Does anyone happen to have more detailed pricing? I believe there are 6 pricing levels (from A to F). So section F starts at $89? Yikes.

Ugh, I should have just subscribed to the whole season--could have seen 7 shows for about $300!

I subscribed to the whole season because I was afraid they were gonna raise the individual prices for this show, and it looks like that's true.
I exchanged my rear right orchestra season seats (the cheapest possible season tickets) for much better mid left center orchestra seats during the exchange period for Hamilton for about $100 per seat, which I thought was reasonable, but I don't think non-subscribers will be so lucky. Subscribers were allowed to buy four extra tickets, so I bought two pairs of mezz seats for two more performances, and they cost more than my mid-orchestra ones from the exchange period. So I am not optimistic on pricing. Glad they are going to have the lottery, at least.

Hey, this is my first post here. We were thinking of trying to get tickets to LA even though we're already seeing the show in SF. We figured you can't see the show too many times. Does anyone think there's a chance of any cast changes when the show moves to LA, or will the main cast stay the same?

I was able to get group tickets for myself and my friends/family before the presales began. Thank goodness the Pantages had offered it. Really excited to see this show on stage after repeatedly listening to the soundtrack.

My season tickets are for August 24th. I got 4 additional tickets for October 14th which is a few days after my 30th birthday. I'll try to get a few more tickets for 10/14 through the Amex presale on Wednesday for some friends to join the bday festivities.

How were you able to get group tickets? I called a few times in the last six months and could never find anyone with information how and when to get them. Any info would be great, want to try to get the cheapest seats if possible and hate the idea of spending overnight in Hollywood the day they go on sale.

It's highly unlikely that anyone will leave prior to the LA run. After LA, I wouldn't be surprised if several of the leads departed for other projects.

I would guess that some of the principles signed on for 6 months only (just the opening in SF). I feel liek at least Joshua Henry would leave, especially with the Carousel announcement. He's been (no pun intended) nonstop since Shuffle Along and if he is with Hamilton a full year then he'll virtually have no break before jumping into his next project. My guess would be he leaves in August/September, which would be around when the tour leaves SF for LA and which would complete a full year of him in the role (presumably his original contract) between both casts.
Other cast members like O'Malley, Luwoye, and Raver-Lampman have also been with the show awhile so it's hard to know where their contracts will start and end.

Rory lives in LA, so I imagine he will stay through the LA run. He has indicated in interviews that playing LA was one of the reasons he took the job. Also, the cast will want to be seen by industry people, so that's an incentive to stay through to the end of the the year. Much more visibility in LA than in SF.

I'm hoping to get tickets for sometime between September 7 and 10 (my birthday weekend) and travel to LA for this. I'm scared they will be sold out after the AMEX presale tomorrow. I'm even more scared that people have their tickets already.

Group sales were only given to current account members and was supposed to last a week. (I got a notice on email regarding the dates/restrictions but it was also on the previous pantages website for group sales before they updated the pantages website). I have to assume that group sales were all sold out within a couple of days though...not surprising. The rules were fairly strict, moreso than other group sales, especially with payment. (There were no online group sales, only by phone and you had to have a current account or else you were out of luck. I waited about 6 hours and almost gave up but was lucky enough to get a live person near the end of the day).

I guess there isn't anything to do now, will try tomorrow with the Am Ex presale but ugh, not looking forward to that, I hate buying through ticketmaster and their crazy fees, makes it near impossible to go financially. I wonder if Am Ex offers cheap seats during the presale?

We have season tickets for August 29. We drove up and saw the show in SF on March 17. I have heard some of the cast members say that they will be coming to Los Angeles on social media and in person. The one question would be Joshua Henry. I am very glad we saw him in SF because he is amazing. They are in SF for 21 weeks and LA for 21 weeks. It would be a little odd for a lot of the cast to have a 21 week contract just for SF.
The best availability for tickets in the general sale will likely be for November and December because those dates were not available to season ticket holders or in the presale. When we got the tickets for SF, they released very few for the Amex presale. It was much easier to get tickets in the general sale. The Pantages is huge, with 2700 seats, so I imagine people will be able to get tickets if they are persistent. I wonder how the $650 center orchestra seats will sell?

Not a season subscriber, but from my understanding, you had to have a group account and had to have purchased past group tickets from a certain time frame.

Joshua Henry said on Twitter that he was coming to LA. I don't know if he will stay for the whole run, given his upcoming obligation, but he's not leaving after SF.
LA is an obvious draw for performers, especially in a hit show, because they get valuable exposure to people who might hire them. The SF/LA tour stops tend to get some good talent (Broadway understudies, stars like Henry).
