Trump’s defense of his wiretap conspiracy theory goes horribly awry...

This guy is a F*CKing joke!!! Read as he tries to justify accusing Barack Obama with wiretapping Trump Tower. The elevator clearly does not go all the way up. He's a brick short of a load. He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He's not the sharpest tack on the board. 

This is the president of the United States and he is the laughing stock of the free world!!!

Last night, for example, Fox News aired a new interview between Tucker Carlson and the president.

CARLSON: On March 4th, 6:45 in the morning, you are down in Florida, and you tweet, “The former administration wiretapped me, surveilled me at Trump Tower during the last election.” How did you find out? You said “I just found out,” how did you learn that?

TRUMP: I had been reading about things. I read in – I think it was January 20th, a New York Times article where they were talking about wiretapping. There was an article, I think they used that exact term. I read other things. I watched your friend Bret Baier the day previous, where he was talking about certain, very complex sets of things happening, and wiretapping. I said “Wait a minute, there’s a lot of wiretapping being talked about.” I have been seeing a lot of things.

Ooooh but it gets even better!

CARLSON: Why not wait to tweet about it until you can prove it? Don’t you devalue your words when you can’t provide evidence?

TRUMP: Well, because the New York Times wrote about it. Not that I respect the New York Times. I call it the failing New York Times. But they did write on January 20 using the word “wiretap.”

The New York Times girl, really? Didn't he call the fake news and now he's relying on them as a trusted source?!!! WTF!!

This, however, was probably the most striking exchange:

CARLSON: Right, but you are the president. You have the ability to gather all the evidence you want.

TRUMP: I do, I do, but I think that frankly, we have a lot right now, and I think if you watch – if you watched the Bret Baier and what he was saying, and what he was talking about and how he mentioned the word wiretap, you would feel very confident that you could mention the name. He mentioned it, and other people mentioned it.

I F*CKing CAN. NOT. take this man's bullshIt anymore! 

We have four more years of this crap?!?!?! Seriously?!?!?! He's liable to piss off some foreign country and hurl as all into a World War.

I'm a little worried about this wiretap business turning into a big plus for Trump. The reason is simple: it's entirely possible that one or more of Trump's phone conversations was tapped while Obama was president. I have no doubt that he spoke to many important people from other countries, and if intelligence agencies thought they had reason to suspect those other parties of espionage, they would have tapped those calls.

It's highly unlikely that Obama literally ordered Trump's calls to be monitored, which is his claim. But it is extremely naive for his opponents simply to deny it and deride it as a completely frivolous claim. Many, many phone calls were monitored during the Obama administration, and if it turns out one or more of those involved Trump, his supporters aren't going to care about the details. They'll just see it as more proof that Trump can tell no lies. I think the Democrats may be walking into a buzzsaw here.

I agree w/ kdogg36.  It's also my understanding that the intelligence agencies have until tomorrow to explain why former Lt Gen Mike Flynn's communications were monitored.  Most likely Obama would have been kept out of the loop to give him plausible deniability but somebody's some explaining to do.

My fear is that tomorrow's revelation could trigger complete political upheaval in which neither side escapes unscathed.
