Willie, exactly what I'm thinking
Where do you live? Maybe just the LA run.
I've heard rumors of who the replacement is going to be, and they haven't been saying Sara. Of course, she could still be doing it, but I think maybe she could be doing the tour stop in LA? It would line up, especially since she's still trying to work on a new album.
Here's the video: https://www.facebook.com/sarabareilles/videos/10154102135201432/
it looks like she's in a dressing room...
I know of someone who was in final talks for the role, and I don't think anything has changed... Sara could just be announcing the replacement herself.
who's the person?? i wish it was Sara

I talked about her on one of the other threads about this, but a clue: she got second place in The Voice a few years back. Last I know, she was in financial talk. I haven't heard anything since that.

Meghan Linsey???

Based on the responses here, I'm thinking between my earlier theory or perhaps Sara will start the tour to gain momentum for it, while someone else takes over for Jessie. After the tour, depending on how well the replacement is doing, Sara might join to increase sales or simply when the replacement's contract is up.

Yes.

Just got word that she had to exit. Sara could've stepped in last minute as Jessie's replacement.

Sara Bareilles would likely be able to sell tickets...Hope it's her...

I would love to see Sara step in but can she act? We know she can sing. Jessie is such a strong actor, I would imagine it would be huge shoes to fill but no denying she would be great for sales.

In her book, Sara mentions doing theater as a child but wanting to get involved as an adult. She auditioned for Cinderella in the Central Park production of Into the Woods and after auditioning realized she could not act as well as she thought. The role went to Jessie Meuller and here we are today, Jessie in Sara's musical. I would love for Sara to take over but I can't imagine her record label would allow her to do it for long as she is overdue for an album. In the video, she was wearing Ingrid Michaelson's "USE IT" shirt so maybe that could be a hint? Ingrid went to school for theater and she and Sara are really good friends.. Then again, I am head over heals for Ingrid so that's probably a stretch. Guess we'll find out in an hour!

I knew I read it somewhere that she said her acting chops weren't up to par (at the time) but didn't want to misquote anything - I knew I would be called out on this site - lol! She also said on an AOL interview that she is committed to her album. I wondered if the waitress company's version of "I Choose You" was a subtle hint to the future of Jenna. All will be answered shortly!

Sigh. As if spring season wasn't packed enough. Now this show from last season, along with Hamilton, will give the new musicals a rather strong competition.
