Josh came and sang at the press event for the upcoming Broadway season in Philly called Broadway on Independence Mall and he told us that we were the first ones to publicly know he was cast. He sang Stars and knocked it out of the park.
In the post above, Josh mentions that rehearsals begin in August, so we should get a full cast sometime in the next few weeks.

I think it would depend on which Broadway production you're referring to I saw it on tour in either 2006 or 2007 in San Fran when it was on it's last leg at the time. It was the tour with the original staging, or what I like to call the "turntable staging" That was the original tour that had been running for quit some time I think.
It closed and then the show was revived on Broadway the first time, and a tour of that production happened, and that was the 25th Anniversary tour, and then it was revived a second time, which was the most recent one, and this new tour coming is based on that 2nd revival.
Somehow hoping and wishing that insanely, phenomenally talented Nathaniel Hackmann finally gets to be principal Valjean for this tour, after understudying for both the last tour and then the revival on Broadway.

How do they even do the second act without it--particularly after the final battle? I haven't seen it on stage since 1990s and will hopefully see the tour this year so am really curious about the changes.
After the Final Battle, Enjolras is revealed on a cart that is being wheeled around rather than on the barricade. (Same for Gavroche - there's a beat where Javert comes out to look for Valjean and sees Gavroche on the cart.)
I've seen it with the turntable and without and honestly I kind of prefer it without. The only time it was really necessary was for Gavroche's death, but when I saw the recent revival I thought only being able to hear his voice made the moment more chilling (and the part where he climbs back over the barricade just in time to die wounded me as well). I also liked seeing Enjolras on the cart, and the little bit they added between Gavroche and Javert at that time, too (even though they were clearly ripping that moment off from the movie).
