I used to like seeing her present adoptable animals at Broadway Barks. What a caring person she was, as well as a lovely actress. She will be missed.

2012 was the last time Mary co-hosted, which was the last Broadway Barks I attended. It was lovely to see her in person though. She was our Mary

a beautiful light in the world

Watched a few colorized early Dick Van Dyke episodes recently and she was a truly magnificent comedic actress. Also saw her recently in Change of Habit with her as a nun/nurse and Elvis as a doctor helping poor people in the hood(unintentionally hilarious)

Blessings Mary for a joyful journey and much gratitude for the laughs and tears.....

I used to watch the MTM SHOW four times a day when it was first in syndication in NYC. And every time the last episode would close with "It's a Long, Long Way to Tipperary", I would sob uncontrollably--even though another rerun was coming on soon.

And I still think she should have won the Oscar for ORDINARY PEOPLE.

No, not that, I liked MTM. I may have masturbated thinking about her when I was a kid. She was 80, there's too much to mourn about than idols from the past. Every day someone we love is going to die, get used to it.

South Florida, my husband is 75. He's in good health, but when somebody dies at the age of 80, I admit it gives me pause. I don't stop living to cower in the corner and weep, but still...

I can barely remember a time BEFORE I was an MTM fan. A single post (okay, now two posts) after enjoying someone's work for over half a century hardly seems indulgent.
