Her self-awareness must be zero to none. A.) Is she not aware of the climate of the theatre community she works in and wants to be hired in and B.) is she not aware that LBGTQ audiences have been keeping the lights on for her and how this will alienate them?

Maybe Marie can get her a Nutrisystem gig.

We have to be able to separate the artist, the work we love and cherish from the past, and their political beliefs. You can love her talent, and not love her beliefs.

She is entitled to her beliefs. And if this is the case I no longer have to support her as an artist. That is my choice. Unfortunately EvanK fighting for equality on many different levels in my life I no longer choose to separate people and their political beliefs when it comes to my own life and the lives of the ones I choose to have in my life.

It's a slap in the face to the gay community who supported her all those years when the only gigs she could get were in gay clubs.  This will be the end of her little career renaissance.  I guess she can go back to bus and truck tours of Dreamgirls and continue playing a 74 year old Effie.

Yes... those of us expressing ourselves are doing so because we do not support, and speak out against, those who support Captain Creamsicle for the reasons that have been commonly reiterated countless times.  Using those two words does not create a rule for hypocrisy when you purposely ignore the content.  It doesn't work and you know it, so why bother?  You just sound foolish.  Again.
